A bid for $15 million to fund an aquatic and recreation facility in eastern Christchurch has failed. Cr Yani Johanson asked councillors to include $15m in the budget for an aquatic and recreation facility in the wider Woolston-Linwood area at a meeting for the council's draft Three Year Plan (TYP) today. This is on top of the planned replacement for Queen Elizabeth II Park.
